Activism
implies being active and visible to make a change in society, however
many people are so offended by nudity that being nude in public places
may very often not be the best choice to promote body acceptance.
In fact at this point that could backfire and result in arrest.
Sometimes activist arrest maybe justified but often there are other
ways to accomplish the same ends.
This
entire site is designed as a tool or
resource to help educate
people on body shame, respect, and acceptance. Tell people you
know
about it, just tell them you would like to know what they think of it, (you
don’t have to tell them how much you go nude, if you do, just ask what
they think!)
it could start some good conversation. Send links to family,
friends,
etc. or click under file and send whole pages! If you are
involved
with a naturist club or organization that has a booth at a local event,
you are welcome to make copies of articles on this site to distribute (provided
the copies include Shame Breakers copyright and Internet address).

The images on this

or copy into your graphics program, resize to what you want, print,
trim,
and laminate (or not).
Put this sign by
the entry of your home to
let
people know you respect
the body. The first two versions are bolder in design the third
is
more homey or crafty looking and could also look good on different
color
backgrounds.
This text is a
classic that has been around
and
used for years at nude
beaches, lakes, springs, trials, etc. However, we hadn’t yet seen
it online in a form that could be printed out. So here it is!
Images
Images are a
powerful communication
tool.
However, in a society
that so strongly equates nudity with nothing but sex, that nude images alone are
often not enough to help break that association. That’s why Shame
Breakers
is combining nude pictures with text in our weekly pictures.
I believe
the combination may help many think about nudity in a different
context.
I call these images "Body Liberators". You may use them on other
sites, to e-mail, as screen savers,
etc. I only ask that you please keep the whole image intact,
including the
“shame breakers” text and address.
